Connie & Scott
What an awesome couple.
It’s February and still a bit nippy outside but Connie is the twin sister to Claudette who we did our first wedding film for. Claudette contacted me to film her twin sister’s wedding and I couldn’t have been happier to do it for her. She did say it was going to be a surprise but I think she let it loose at some point during the wedding planning.
Anyway Nailcote Hall in Warwickshire is quite the venue. I was not expecting this at all. The main area for the ceremony is styled out in a roman/Grecian bath house which is sunken down and as well as a set of lovely stairs leading down to the room where about 90 chairs were laid out there was a balcony surrounding which held another 90 odd.
After the ceremony was finished and everyone had made their way outside for some photos with the photographer we took the bride and groom for a few quick photos in a few secluded areas, I managed to snap this one which I used for their wedding film poster and it is one of my favourites so far.
Into the main reception area which is a fairly big marquee off the side of the building. This seems to be a permanent one as it was fully decked out with staging, dance floor, lights and likewise. The Bride and her family had made about 90% of the wedding decorations themselves and they looked superb, the bride is quite handy in the arts and crafts section by the looks of it.
The groom had a surprise for the bride and guests during the speeches, he had written a song to which he was going to sing, I wish I had, had more time or prior notice so I could have recorded it in a much better way but we managed in the end.
All in all the wedding was a major success with so many people there on the day how could it not really.
