Anthony & Ellie
Well the weather might put a damper on things this day…..
This did not stop this lovely couple from having the best day. Today I got to try out our new camera for this wedding. It is literally 2 days old now and we are going to put it to its limits really. The weather is hit and miss, we are getting some lovely sun and then some awful rain so there will be a lot of back and forth for these shots.
So we are in Bloxham to start with today at St Marys Church to start filming this couples wedding. The bride has chosen to go for a different feel this time and have the grooms prep rather than her own. Now this is not a common request but we thought it would make for a different kind of intro to a wedding film.
From here we were travelling to the reception venue which is actually one of the best friends of the bride’s parent’s house Sir John and Lady Parsons who own the Old Rectory in Eydon it is a very quaint cottage and land surrounding. There was a marquee setup in one of the fields just off of the main garden.
Now nothing special about the marquee here but the surroundings are gorgeous. The inside of the marquee has been fitted out with full drapes from roof to floor which added an element of class to the venue. The gardens are very well kept by Lady Parsons and made for some lovely photos, especially once the rain had passed and the sun came out to play.
During the reception, just after the food and speeches there was a band playing, I believe they were friends of the couple (well at least some of them were). The band was not your typical wedding band, a much more eclectic sound and hipster feel to it. It worked and that is the main thing.
Once the rain had cleared up everyone ventured outside, kids were playing ball games, champagne was flowing (300 bottles worth) and everyone was having a blast. Then for all the evening guests a mobile fish and chip shop turned up followed by a soft serve ice-cream van. These were some lucky guests.
We had an amazing day filming the lovely couple, their family and friends. We hope they enjoy this video as much as they enjoy being together.
