Claudette & Chris
Well this was our very very first wedding we completed as OhanaFilms UK. We had done one or two others but they were not proper wedding films.
Back to the wedding then, so being very new to this game it was quite daunting as we did not know what to expect not as I have not been to many weddings before. So with some planning and chatting with the bride etc. we came up with a plan.
Now the wedding itself was going to be at their local parish church (the couple only lived around the corner) and then on to a marquee in a local field for the reception. Now church weddings are always a bit difficult due to the lighting and the limitations which are imposed but we do like a challenge. This church was no exception it was dimly lit and quiet small, luckily I have a camera with some decent low light options. The audio on the other hand is always tricky at a wedding as you cannot set up full audio systems with mic’s to get great audio but we made do with what we had to hand.
On from the church everyone headed out to the marquee in the local farmers field, this is where a lot of the wedding magic happens. What I was not expecting was a harpist, full bar and fireworks.
So here is how it all went down. The bride and groom had gone off for a little drive while everyone was getting to the venue, so there was about 30 mins or so to get people together for the arrival. Once the bride and groom arrived this party was happening, everything started to flow and people started to feel a lot more comfortable after a drink or two. On to the speeches, now I didn’t know what to expect and was not expecting these speeches, the grooms party had gone all out for the best man’s speech and well and truly embarrassed the groom but in a good way as everyone loved it and were laughing their heads off while the groom was in both hysterics and despair.
Over all the day was pretty awesome for both the bride and groom as well as for me being able to capture their special day. The finale to the night was some fireworks which lit up the sky for a good 20 mins and was a surprise to all the family and guests.
We hope Claudette & Chris have a very happy life together.
