Richard & Rachael
Now this one might be a bit biased but I will carry on anyway.
Richard and Rachael are good friends of mine and while I was not only doing video I was also doing photos AND I was the best man, this was a very tall order for the day.
So from the above I had a lot to do on the day, besides the video and photo I was running around picking things up, setting things up, making sure things are in the right place, time etc, so all the usual best man mumbo jumbo.
Well with all my hats on it was a tricky day, specially trying to film the ceremony when I’m supposed to be in it as well. This is where I get an extra body in to do the little bits I cannot, this worked out well in the end so no regrets.
So the wedding and reception were at Westone Manor Hotel in Northampton, which is not actually far from where I live which made things really handy. But anyway the venue itself is well situated and easy to get to, there are some really nice big stained glass windows, staircases and some nice bits and bobs around.
The reception room could do with more lighting as it was quite dark even during the day and once they had dressed it up made it look darker. Once the DJ had got his groove on in the evening with his lights and the band playing it wasn’t as bad in the end.
There were a few hiccups throughout the day which we handled pretty swiftly without the couple finding out but overall the day was enjoyable and worked out well. It was a tiring day for me as I was playing 3 different people all at the same time but made it work. Looking back on the day now, I should have got someone to do the photo and or video and not put it all on me.
